Martial Arts

Private lessons

Do you want to learn self defense, but you can't or don't want to attend a formal martial arts school? Have you considered private lessons? Here are just a few of the advantages.

YOU choose when and where YOU want to practice
YOU learn at YOUR own rate, which may be faster or slower than students in a regular class
YOU train in COMPLETE privacy
YOU train on material that YOU need rather than material that an entire class needs
YOU get 100 percent of the instructor's attention

When taking private lessons, choosing the right personal trainer is all important.

Loren W. Christensen's qualifications -

He has been training and teaching the martial arts since 1965.

7th degree black belt in karate

2nd degree black belt in jujitsu

1st degree black belt in arnis

Taught defensive tactics to the Portland Police Bureau for 23 years and too-numerous-to-list other law enforcement and security agencies. Most recently taught personal safety classes to Tri-Met supervisors and fare inspectors, Marriott Hotel security, and Portland park rangers.

Expert in street self-defense; does not teach sport competition

Has authored 24 books on the martial arts and many articles for the various martial arts magazines.

COST FOR PRIVATE LESSONS

Classes are held at my location -

You alone . . . . . . . . .1 1/2 hours. . . . . $60.00

You and a training buddy . 1 1/2 hours. . . . . $50.00 each person

When classes are held at your location, add $10.00 per person for each class.

It's recommended that you take one class a week, although two is better. While you can certainly take private lessons by yourself, you might find it more enjoyable to do it with a friend, a training buddy. A partner will give you someone to share the experience with and a training partner away from class.

Only students from the Portland/Vancouver area will be considered.

E-mail for more information, or Contact us with your phone number and I will contact you.
